PLASTIC SURGEON

CIRCUMCISION, PHYMOSIS and FRENULOPLASTY

With my expertise in penile legthening procedures, I am often referred penile problems relating to circumcision, inability to retract the foreskin which can be the result of a tight frenulum or a small opening in the foreskin not allowing the head to protrude through. Circumcisions are fairly straightforward with a great result, the main goal is not to remove too much skin. Circumcisions and frenuluoplasties can be performed under a local anaesthetic if wanted, but mostly patients choose general anaesthesia. A frenuloplasty is often performed for a tight frenulum. This is a fairly simple and good procedure which fixes the problem of painful retraction of the foreskin.

A phymosis which is the inability to retract the foreskin, over the head of the penis, can be corrected by certain flap repairs if one wants to retain the foreskin. A circumcision will fix the problem completely as well and one can perform a circumcision still leaving most of the foreskin so that the foreskin isn't as long but still covers the glands of the penis. All of these operations are good procedures and I perform these procedures fairly regularly.
