As a general idea, I do not agree with showing pre and post-operative photographs of work that I have done for a few reasons. My belief is that surgeons who do this only show a few good results and that if one does enough surgery most people can get a few good results. Unfortunately the mediocre or poor results are not shown and I believe this method of showing pictures becomes more of a sales gimmick than patient information. One can manipulate the computer image more than one can manipulate the nose in surgery hence i do not believe in computer imaging. I prefer these patients talk to patients that I have performed surgery on previously so that they can find out more about myself as a surgeon, their confidence in my abilities, and their final results.
